Dr. Amol D. Vibhute is an Associate Dean (I/C) and Program Head of the MSc (Cyber Security) course at the School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University, Nagpur Campus (An Institution of National Importance), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. He has over 11 years of experience in research, innovation, and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. His six (06) Indian and two (02) International patents have been granted, and one (01) Indian patent is under the granting stage. He authored/coauthored over 40+ refereed journal papers, seven book chapters, and more than 63 reputed conference papers indexed by SCIE/Scopus/WoS/UGC. The current citations for his research exceed 2100, 1,300, and 600 on Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science, respectively, with h-indices of 21, 16, and 10 as of August 2026. His three books have been published, and one has been accepted by a reputed publisher and indexed in Scopus.
His specialisation is in Hyperspectral-Multispectral Remote Sensing, GIS, Remote Sensing of Soil, Crops, Urban areas, and other areas. His research interests include Geospatial Technology, Digital Image Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. He is an IEEE Senior Member and a member of ACM, ISPRS, IAEng, CSTA, IACSIT, and ISCA. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports (Sci Rep), published by Nature Portfolio, ISSN: 2045-2322 (online).
