- Dr. Vijay Kumar Ravi Joined on 22 December 2025 as Assistant Professor of General Biology, School of Forensic Sciences, NFSU Tripura Campus. Dr. Ravi has academic credentials in Biotechnology and interdisciplinary science and technology. His research experiences is on the interface of biotechnology and nanotechnology. His current research is focused on biological sciences i.e protein self-assembly, protein aggregation (protein nanoparticles, potential biomaterials as well as biphotonic materials) in addition synthesis of Nano powder for fingerprint development and Diatoms biology for forensic applications. Dr. Ravi did B. Pharm from MIT Muzaffarpur, Bihar, M. Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University Chennai Tamil Nadu. He obtained his Ph. D in Biotechnology from IIT Guwahati. His Ph.D. research work is on investigating the structure and Dynamics of aggregating protein employing the techniques of fluorescence time resolved, Foster resonance energy transfer and Atomic force microscopy.
- After finishing the Ph. D. Dr. Ravi joined Prof. Ajay Sood Lab, Dept. of Physics, IISc Bangalore as a Research Associate there worked on study of nanomaterials-Nucleic acids (DNA, siRNA) interaction at nanoscale employing Atomic Force Microscopy. Dr. Ravi also worked for a short while on project DNA-Protein interactions at nanoscale employing Atomic Force Microscopy under Prof. K. Muniyappa, Dept. of Biochemistry at IISc Bangalore. Then Dr. Ravi moved IISER Bhopal to work on Early step protein aggregation and subsequent refolding under mentorship of Prof. Saptarshi Mukherjee through UGC (Govt. of India) sponsored Post-Doctoral fellowship program. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journal with average impact factor 3.0. Also, several national and international conference proceedings.
- Dr. Ravi also attended various workshops and training programs for enhancing the knowledge, presented his research and delivered research talk. His current total citation is approx. above 400 as per google scholar citation. Currently, Dr. Ravi has completed one sponsored project of above 36 lakhs from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Govt. of India.
- Dr. Ravi serving as Reviewer of for various internationals peer reviewed journals. Dr. Ravi has more than 7 years of Teaching and Research Experiences. During the academic career, Dr. Ravi has Supervised M. Tech, M.Sc. dissertation and also internship students from National Level Institutes.
