The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, and Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS)-(an Institute of DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India), New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) virtually on the online platform on 25th March, 2021.
The MoU has been signed by Prof. (Dr.) S. O. Junare, the Campus Director, NFSU and Dr. Thyagarajan, Director-INMAS(DRDO), New Delhi. This signifies an effective collaboration between NFSU and INMAS (DRDO) in the area of Disaster Management, especially CBRN Forensics.
Apart from the collaborative research, there is a scope of imparting training and consultancy services in the area of warfare agents such as detection, mitigation, management, and prevention. There will be an additional emphasis on academic, research, consultancy, and training in CBRN Forensics including Nuclear Forensics.
