In order to achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/70/212 declaring 11 February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, let us work towards promoting women’s and girls’ access to science education, training and jobs. This promotion aims at Goal 5 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls) of 2030 agenda of Sustainable Development Goals.
