UK-India Forensic Sciences Virtual Convention-2021 was organised by the British Deputy High Commission, Ahmedabad through the UK Defence and Security Exports team in collaboration with National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar on 18th August, 2021. In the Inaugural Session, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice-Chancellor, NFSU, Mr. Peter Cook, British Deputy High Commissioner, Ahmedabd, Dr. Archna Shivhare, IGP-Gujarat Police addressed the Virtual Convention.
Prof. (Dr.) S. O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU (Gandhinagar) briefed the participants about the NFSU and its activities with detailed presentation including academic, training, research & and consultancy. From NFSU, Dr. Naveen Chaudhary Dean- School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics gave an expert lecture on ‘Network Forensics’; Dr. Digvijaysinh Rathod, Associate Dean- School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics taken on ‘Mobile Forensics’; and Dr. Bhargav C. Patel, Asst. Professor delivered an expert lecture on ‘DNA Forensics’.
Total 165 representatives from Gujarat State Police, Andhra Pradesh State Police, Central and State Forensic Laboratories, Cranfield University-UK, National Crime Agency-UK, London Policing College, the National Police Chiefs Council, Forensics Capability Network (NPCC-FCN), Forensic Capability Network, Black Dot Solutions, Oxford Wave Research, Blue Lights Digital, Sytech had participated.
