Two days workshop was organised on “Drafting and Reviewing Commercial Contracts” by the School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies, NFSU on 25-26, April 2022 at Seminar Hall IBS NFSU GANDHINAGAR, Gujarat. Mr. Bhumesh Verma, Managing Partner, Corp Comm Legal, New Delhi was Resource Person. On this occasion Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director and Dean, School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies welcomed the guest and urged students to learn the actual work of a lawyer such as drafting and reviewing commercial contacts.The workshop was moderated by Ms. Lahama Mazumdar, Teaching and Research Assistant, School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies.
The workshop was aimed to impart a practical take on contract management in Legal field. The workshop was focused on understanding reason for drafting contracts, preparation before drafting, current state of contract drafting process, shortcomings of conventional style of contract drafting, need for crafting effective contracts, protecting client’s interest, making the templates, different kinds of contracts, layout and sequence of a contract and drafting different critical clauses. The resource person shared and helped the students review templates on Non-Disclosure Agreement, Service Agreement and Lease agreement which benefited the students for understanding the intricacies of the drafting process.
