The students of B.Tech. - M.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), Semester IX, School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University: • Ms. Preksha Joshi • Ms. Aarushi Taneja • Ms. Sneh Singh under the mentorship of Dr. Ramya Shah and with the motivating guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Parag Rughani, Dean, SCSDF, have secured the First Prize at the CipherCop Hackathon 2025, jointly organised by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, held on 10–11 September 2025. The event witnessed participation from more than 360 teams across the country. Our students distinguished themselves with their project “CryptoSherlock X”, a blockchain forensics solution capable of analysing multi-cryptocurrency transactions, de-anonymising clusters, detecting laundering patterns, assigning explainable risk scores, and generating actionable intelligence for law enforcement and compliance agencies. The team was awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of ₹75,000. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J. M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU and Prof. (Dr.) S. O. Junare, Campus Director, Gandhinagar Campus, felicitated and congratulated the students and their mentor for this remarkable achievement.
