The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, successfully conducted a Distinguished Talk titled “Art of Meaningful Cinema: Challenges in Kashmir and Opportunities for Students of Forensic Sciences”, delivered by acclaimed screenwriter Mr. Monal Thaakar, a Filmfare Award winner for Best Story on 13th November, 2025. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director of NFSU-Gandhinagar, felicitated Mr. Monal Thaakar. Mr. Monal Thaakar, screenwriter of the films Article 370 (2024) and Baramulla, delivered an insightful address on the evolving landscape of cinema, the socio-cultural complexities of Kashmir, and the emerging opportunities for forensic science students in content analysis, media research, and investigative storytelling. The session offered valuable perspectives and enhanced interdisciplinary learning at NFSU. During the Distinguished Talk, Aircommodore Kedar Thakaar, Campus Director, NFSU-Uganda, Faculty members and students of NFSU were present.
